The DEP Book Shop is the ONLY global learning bookshop in Greater Manchester. We are an independant bookshop and all the money raised from booksales goes back into supporting the work of the DEP charity.
We have over 2000 books for sale and have regular special offers such as trainee teachers 10% of all sales. School discounts, book bundles etc.
We run a book group which meets in the shop the last thursday of every month and is open to anyone who is interested in reading and debating global issues.
We also run storytelling and creative writing workshops for local community groups, parents and schools. For a full list of our story books click here.
The shop also serves as an ideal meeting space.
You can hire our meeting room for just £10 a hour for your training or meetings.
The room, which has natural daylight, can accommodate 8 to 12 people, and cost includes flipcharts and pens, projector and screen, laptop with broadband internet access. We also offer fair trade tea, coffee and biscuits at £1 per head and further catering by arrangement.
The meeting room in situated inside our bookshop which will be closed to the public during your hire period. You will be eligible for a 10% discount off books bought on the day.
